current exhibition 04.04 - mid July

a tote bag with embroidered flowers on it

A range of textlie pieces by Elle.

These piece are different arms of a collection of works that have been added to over the past 17 years. Machine stitched calico, paper, and occasional watercolour,

Workining in a modular way with textiles is interesting to me, because the work never has to be finished or decide what it is saying in a finality. It can shift as I shift and understand the world and my place within it.

The works are pinned up next to one another to create narrative and contemplation in their relativity. We can read each piece or take them as part of a more complex and interconnect web.

Journeys of decent and ascent. Visual language explored. Existential and sentimental.
